Venue: Linlithgow Bowling Club, 2 Philip Avenue, Linlithgow, EH49 7BH

Date: Every Thursday from 27 August – 19 November 2026 (no class on 17 September, 15 and 22 October 2026) 

Time: 11.15 am– 12.45 pm

Suitable for all levels of ability, this 10-week course focuses on the fundamentals of drawing to develop observational skills. Each lesson is tutor-led with demonstrations and individual tuition, exploring techniques to tackle still life, landscapes, buildings, and figures. Students will be encouraged to work with a range of materials available in class—from willow charcoal and pencil to ink and pastels—to build confidence and look at drawing in a refreshing way.

Course Highlights:

​Individual Tuition: Capped at a maximum of 12 students to ensure a high level of personal guidance and a spacious working environment.

​Starter kit can be purchased in class at £20 (please order from the tutor 2 weeks before class start date). Starter kit includes a professional-grade A3 sketchbook, soft and hard pencils, and an artist’s putty eraser.

​Material Exploration: access to a wide variety of artist-grade media provided in class, including charcoal, ink, and pastels.

Fee: £140 (does not include starter kit)

Tutor provides a materials list and printed images. Starter kit is available to order upto 2 weeks before the course start date.
